Wen Ning summoned dozens of disciples and personally escorted them to a magnificent mansion. They sneaked in through the back door and led Wei Wuxian to a small room.

However, just as Wen Ning turned around to close the door and before he could even catch his breath, Wei Wuxian grabbed his neck again and whispered, “Where are we?!”

Even though Wen Ning had saved him, it was impossible for Wei Wuxian to completely let go of his guard against the Wen Clan so quickly. He remained cautious. While following Wen Ning through the mansion, passing by several rooms where people were conversing in the Qishan dialect, he overheard fragments of conversations through the cracks in the doors and windows, catching the words “Supervisory Office”!

Wen Ning hastily gestured, “No… I…”

Wei Wuxian interrupted, “No? Isn’t this the Supervisory Office located in Yiling? Which unfortunate clan’s territory did you occupy? What do you intend to do by bringing us here?”

Wen Ning desperately tried to explain, “Wei Gongzi, please listen to me. Yes, this is the Supervisory Office, but I never meant to harm you. If I wanted to harm you, I could have changed my mind as soon as I entered Lotus Pier last night and didn’t need to lead you here.”

Wei Wuxian’s mind had been on high alert these past few days, constantly tense and suspicious. Despite Wen Ning’s words, he still remained doubtful. Wen Ning continued, “This is indeed the Supervisory Office. If there’s any place the Wen Clan wouldn’t search, it would be here. You can stay here, just don’t let anyone else discover you…”

After a pause, Wei Wuxian finally forced himself to let go, quietly expressing his thanks and apologies, and laid Jiang Cheng’s body on a wooden couch inside the room.

Unexpectedly, at that very moment, the wooden door of the small room suddenly swung open, and a female voice exclaimed, “I was just looking for you! You better explain yourself…”

They had just said not to be discovered, and they were immediately discovered!

Wei Wuxian broke out in a cold sweat, swiftly positioning himself in front of the couch. Wen Ning was too scared to say anything.

The two of them stiffly stared at the young woman standing at the doorway. Or rather, the girl. She had a slightly dark complexion, a sweet and beautiful face, yet an air of arrogance. She wore a fiery red robe, radiating flames from the cuffs and collar.

Her rank was extremely high, on par with Wen Chao!

The three of them remained in a tense standoff for a while, but soon, hurried footsteps could be heard from outside the room. Wei Wuxian made up his mind to take action, but before he could do anything, the girl acted first, slamming the door shut with a loud bang.

A voice from outside asked, “Wen Master, what’s going on?”

The girl coldly replied, “Nothing. My little brother has returned and he’s being moody again. Don’t bother him. Let’s go, we’ll continue our conversation elsewhere.”

Several people outside responded, and they all walked away together. Wen Ning breathed a sigh of relief and explained to Wei Wuxian, “She… She’s my sister.”

Wei Wuxian asked, “Wen Qing is your sister?”

Wen Ning nodded slightly, feeling somewhat embarrassed, and said, “My sister. She’s very formidable.”

Indeed, she was formidable.

Wen Qing was also considered a renowned figure in the Qishan Wen Clan. She was not the direct daughter of Wen Ruohan, the head of the Wen Clan, but rather a descendant of one of his distant cousins. Although they were distant relatives, Wen Ruohan had a good relationship with that cousin since childhood. Moreover, Wen Qing’s literary talents were outstanding, and she excelled in medical skills, making her a talented individual. As a result, Wen Ruohan paid attention to her and often brought her along to various banquets hosted by the Qishan Wen Clan. Thus, Wei Wuxian had some impression of her face, as she could be considered a beauty. He vaguely heard that she seemed to have a brother or sister, but perhaps because they were not as outstanding as Wen Qing, not many people talked about them.

Wei Wuxian asked in surprise, “You’re really Wen Qing’s brother?”

Wen Ning acknowledged with some embarrassment and said, “Yes, my sister. She’s amazing, but I… can’t compare.”

Wei Wuxian said, “No, no. You’re amazing too. I’m just surprised that you’re Wen Qing’s brother, and she’s a Master of the Supervisory Office. Yet, you dared to bring us…”

At that moment, Jiang Cheng on the couch moved slightly and furrowed his brows. Wei Wuxian immediately flipped over to check, “Jiang Cheng?!”

Wen Ning hurriedly said, “He’s awake and needs medicine. I’ll go get it.”

He walked out and closed the door behind him. After a long period of unconsciousness, Jiang Cheng finally slowly regained consciousness. Wei Wuxian was initially overjoyed, but soon realized that something was off.

Jiang Cheng’s expression was strange, unnaturally calm. Too calm.

He gazed at the ceiling, seemingly uninterested in his current situation and indifferent to his surroundings.

2 / 2

Wei Wuxian didn’t expect this reaction. There was no sadness, joy, anger, or surprise. His heart tightened and he asked, “Jiang Cheng, can you see me? Can you hear me? Do you recognize who I am?”

Jiang Cheng glanced at him but remained silent. Wei Wuxian continued to ask a few more questions, and finally, Jiang Cheng propped himself up on the wooden couch with his arm. He lowered his head and looked at the whip scars on his chest, letting out a bitter laugh.

Once the whip scars appeared, they could never be erased, forever marking the shame. Against his better judgment, Wei Wuxian said, “Don’t look at it. There must be a way to remove them.”

Jiang Cheng slapped him. The slap was weak and powerless. Wei Wuxian didn’t even flinch and said, “Go ahead, hit me. As long as it makes you feel better.”

Jiang Cheng said, “Do you feel it?”

Wei Wuxian was taken aback and asked, “What? What do you mean?”

Jiang Cheng replied, “Do you feel my spiritual power?” The Mystic Nine

Wei Wuxian said, “What spiritual power? You don’t have any spiritual power.”

Jiang Cheng said, “I used it.”

Wei Wuxian asked, “What are you saying?”

Jiang Cheng repeated each word slowly, “I said I used it. I used my full spiritual power in that slap just now. I’m asking you, did you feel it?”

Wei Wuxian stared at him in silence for a while, then said, “Hit me again and see.”

Jiang Cheng said, “No need to hit again. No matter how many times you hit, the result will be the same. Wei Wuxian, do you know why they call it the Hand that Dissolves Golden Cores?”

His heart sank completely.

Jiang Cheng continued, “Because those hands can dissolve Golden Cores, preventing cultivators from ever forming a Core again. Their spiritual power dissipates, turning them into ordinary people.

“And an ordinary descendant of an Immortal Sect is nothing more than a useless person. They can only live an ordinary life, unable to aspire to greatness ever again.

“My mother and father were turned into Golden Cores by Wen Zhuliu, stripped of their power, and then killed by him.”

Wei Wuxian’s thoughts were in chaos, lost and helpless. He murmured, “The Hand that Dissolves Golden Cores… The Hand that Dissolves Golden Cores…”

Jiang Cheng sneered, “Wen Zhuliu, Wen Zhuliu. I want revenge, I want revenge, but how can I seek revenge? I’ve lost my Golden Core, I can never form a Core again. What can I use to seek revenge? Hahaha, hahaha, hahahahaha…”

Wei Wuxian fell to the ground, unable to utter a word as he watched Jiang Cheng, who appeared to be insane, laughing uncontrollably.

At that moment, Wen Ning entered the room. He wore a smile that seemed somewhat ingratiating and held a bowl of medicine in his hands. Before he could speak, Jiang Cheng’s eyes caught sight of the fiery red robe he was wearing, and his pupils contracted.

Jiang Cheng kicked Wen Ning, knocking the bowl of medicine out of his hands, splattering black liquid all over him. Wei Wuxian intended to catch the bowl but ended up grabbing the bewildered Wen Ning. Jiang Cheng roared at him, “What’s wrong with you?!”

Terrified, Wen Ning stepped back repeatedly, while Jiang Cheng grabbed Wei Wuxian by the collar and shouted, “You see Wen-dog and you don’t kill him? You even go and pull him? Do you want to die?!”

Though Jiang Cheng exerted all his strength, his hands remained weak. Wei Wuxian easily broke free. It was only then that Jiang Cheng noticed their surroundings. He scanned the area, vigilant, and asked, “Where is this?”

Wen Ning spoke from a distance, “This is the Supervisory Office in Yiling. But it’s very safe…”

Jiang Cheng suddenly turned to Wei Wuxian, “Supervisory Office?! You willingly walked into a trap?”

Wei Wuxian said, “No!”

Jiang Cheng sternly said, “No? Then why were you in the Supervisory Office? How did you end up here? Don’t tell me you sought help from Wen-dog?!”

Wei Wuxian grabbed him and said, “Jiang Cheng, calm down. It’s safe here! You can find a way to dissolve the Golden Core…”

Jiang Cheng couldn’t comprehend what anyone was saying. He was in a half-crazed state, gripping Wei Wuxian’s neck and laughing madly, “Wei Wuxian, hahaha, Wei Wuxian! You! You…”

Suddenly, a figure in red burst through the door and slapped down, a silver light flashing. Jiang Cheng’s head was pricked by a needle, and he immediately lay back down. Wen Qing spun around, closed the door, and sternly said, “Wen Ning, how foolish can you be? Letting him scream and laugh so loudly? Afraid of being discovered?”

As if seeing a savior, Wen Ning called out, “Sister!”

Wen Qing said, “What’s with the ‘sister’?! I haven’t even asked you when you became so audacious! How dare you hide people! I already hinted at it earlier. No wonder you suddenly wanted to go to Yunmeng! You’ve grown bold. Who gave you the confidence? If Wen Chao finds out what you’ve done, he’ll tear you apart. If he truly decides to eliminate someone, do you think I can stop him?”

She spoke quickly and clearly, her tone forceful and indisputable. Wei Wuxian couldn’t find an opportunity to interrupt. Wen Ning’s face turned pale, and he said, “Sister, but Wei Gongzi…” Wen Qing sternly interrupted him, “I understand that you acted out of gratitude, so I won’t say much. But these two people cannot stay here for long! You suddenly arrived and suddenly left. Once Wen Chao realizes we’ve lost someone, do you think he’s foolish enough not to search for them? Sooner or later, they will find this place. This is the Supervisory Office under my jurisdiction, and this is your room. If someone discovers you’re harboring someone, do you know the consequences? Think carefully!”

She made it clear that she wanted to point her finger at Wei Wuxian and tell them to leave and not burden them any longer. If it had been Wei Wuxian injured, or if someone else had saved them, he would have defiantly declared he would leave after a short while and immediately depart. But now it was Jiang Cheng who was injured, not just injured but also lost his Core, and his mental state was extremely unstable. Under these circumstances, he couldn’t muster any defiance. Moreover, it was Wen’s family that had brought them to this state, so he couldn’t help but feel resentful. Wei Wuxian could only grit his teeth in silence.

Wen Ning said, “But they are from the Wen family…” Wen Qing interrupted him, “What the Wen family does does not represent what we do, and the sins committed by the Wen family don’t mean we have to bear them. Wei Ying, you don’t have to look at me like that. Everyone has their own debts to pay. I am the Chief of the Supervisory Office in Yiling, but I was appointed to this position. I am a physician and pharmacist. I haven’t killed anyone, and I have never stained my hands with the blood of your Jiang family!”

Indeed, there had never been any reports of Wen Qing’s subordinates causing deaths or committing heinous acts. On the contrary, people everywhere hoped for her to take charge. Wen Qing was known for her decent conduct within the Wen family and could even speak a few kind words to Wen Ruohan. She had a good reputation.

The room fell into silence.

After a while, Wen Qing said, “Don’t remove that needle. If he wakes up, he’ll go crazy and scream. We’ll hear it outside. Wait until he’s fully healed, then remove it and leave immediately. I don’t want to deal with Wen Ruohan, especially that woman by his side. I find her disgusting!”

She finished speaking decisively and left the room. Wei Wuxian said, “She… she doesn’t want us to stay here for long, but it means we can stay for a few days… right?”

Wen Ning nodded hurriedly and said, “Thank you, sister!”

A package of medicinal herbs was thrown in from outside the door. Wen Qing called from a distance, “If you’re really grateful, prove it! What kind of medicine did you make earlier? A strong decoction!”

Wen Ning was hit by the package but happily said, “My sister prepared the medicine. It must be good. It’s hundreds of times better than what I made, definitely.”

Finally, Wei Wuxian let go of all his worries and said, “Thank you.”

He knew that both Wen Qing and Wen Ning were taking significant risks. As Wen Qing said, if Wen Ruohan had truly decided to eliminate someone, Wen Qing might not be able to stop him, and he might be implicated as well. After all, there’s no comparison between someone else’s life and one’s own kin.

Jiang Cheng had been unconscious for three days with the needle in his head. His bones and external injuries had healed, leaving only the indelible marks of the Core Removal Whip and the lost Golden Core, which could never be recovered.

Wei Wuxian had also thought for three days.

After three days, Wei Wuxian bid farewell to Wen Ning, carried Jiang Cheng on his back, and walked for a while until he borrowed a small house from a forest guardian.

He closed the door and removed the silver needle from Jiang Cheng’s head. It took a while for Jiang Cheng to open his eyes.

He was awake but didn’t move at all. He didn’t even show the slightest interest in turning over or asking where they were. He didn’t drink or eat, as if he sought only death.

Wei Wuxian said, “Do you really want to die?”

Jiang Cheng replied, “Even if I’m alive, I can’t seek revenge. It’s better to die. Maybe I can turn into a vengeful spirit.”

Wei Wuxian said, “Since you’ve received the ritual of pacifying souls since childhood, even after death, you can’t become a vengeful spirit.”

Jiang Cheng said, “If I can’t seek revenge in life or death, then what’s the difference?”

After saying this, he never spoke again.

Wei Wuxian sat by the edge of the bed, watching him for a while, then patted his legs, stood up, and started bustling about.

In the evening, he finally prepared a meal and set it on the table, saying, “Get up. It’s time to eat.”

Jiang Cheng naturally ignored him. Wei Wuxian sat at the table and picked up his chopsticks, saying, “If you don’t replenish your strength, how will you get back your Golden Core?”

Hearing the words “Golden Core,” Jiang Cheng finally blinked his eyes.

Wei Wuxian continued, “Yes, don’t doubt it. You heard me right. I’m talking about ‘getting back your Golden Core.’”

Jiang Cheng moved his lips and said hoarsely, “Do you have a way?”

Wei Wuxian calmly replied, “I do.”

He turned around and said, “Didn’t you already know that my mother hid disciples of the Baoshan Sanren? They are extraordinary beings who can revive the dead and turn flesh into bones!”

With just a few dozen words, Jiang Cheng’s lifeless eyes suddenly ignited with vitality.

“Baoshan Sanren,” a legendary immortal who had lived for hundreds of years, capable of reviving the dead and transforming flesh into bones!

He trembled as he said, “Are you saying… you’re saying…”

Wei Wuxian enunciated clearly, “I’m saying that I know about ‘Baoshan’ and which mountain it refers to. In other words, I can take you to find Baoshan Sanren.”

Jiang Cheng said, “But… but you don’t remember anything from your childhood anymore, right?!”

Wei Wuxian said, “I don’t remember everything. There are fragments that have been repeated many times that I still recall. I’ve always remembered a woman’s voice repeating to me, telling me a location and some things. This voice said that if in the future we encountered an unavoidable situation, we could go to that place, climb that mountain, and seek help from the immortal on the mountain.”

Jiang Cheng rolled off the bed in an instant.

He rushed to the table, and Wei Wuxian pushed the bowl and chopsticks in front of him, saying, “Eat.”

Jiang Cheng sat at the table, excitedly saying, “I…”

Wei Wuxian said, “Eat. Eat and speak. Otherwise, I won’t say anything.”

Jiang Cheng had to climb onto a stool, picked up the chopsticks, and started eating haphazardly. Previously, he had been lifeless, but now he suddenly saw a glimmer of hope. He was so excited that he felt like he was on fire, unable to sit still, and he didn’t even realize when he dropped the chopsticks. Seeing him absent-mindedly eating, Wei Wuxian said, “In a few days, I’ll take you there.”

Jiang Cheng said, “Today!”

Wei Wuxian said, “What are you afraid of? The immortal who has lived for hundreds of years, do you think they will disappear in a few days? The reason we have to wait a few days is that there are many taboos involved, and I need to carefully instruct you. Otherwise, if we violate any taboos and anger the master, it’ll be over for both of us.”

Jiang Cheng looked at him with wide eyes, hoping he would say more. Wei Wuxian added, “After going up the mountain, you must not open your eyes and look around, remember the scenery on the mountain, or look at other people’s faces. Remember, no matter what the other party asks you to do, you must comply without hesitation.”

Jiang Cheng said, “Okay!”

Wei Wuxian said, “And most importantly, if you are asked who you are, you must say that you are the son of the disciple of Baoshan Sanren. Never reveal your true identity!”

Jiang Cheng said, “Okay!”

No matter what Wei Wuxian asked at this point, Jiang Cheng would probably answer with a red-eyed “okay.” Wei Wuxian said, “Alright, eat your meal, regain your strength and energy. I need to make some preparations in the next few days.”

Jiang Cheng finally realized that he had been using his chopsticks the wrong way and switched them around. He took a few more bites, his eyes turning red from the spiciness, and couldn’t help but mutter, “It’s… really bad!”

After several days of repeatedly questioning the details about Baoshan Sanren, Wei Wuxian set off with Jiang Cheng, traversing mountains and crossing rivers, until they arrived at a deep mountain below Yiling.

The mountain was lush and green, with elegant peaks and swirling clouds shrouding the mountaintop, exuding a faint immortal aura. However, it still fell short of the divine mountain in people’s minds. Jiang Cheng had been suspicious these past few days, doubting whether Wei Wuxian was deceiving him, whether Wei Wuxian had misheard or misremembered in his childhood, and worrying about whether they would be able to find it. Looking at the mountain, he started doubting again, “Is this really where Baoshan Sanren resides?”

Wei Wuxian confidently said, “It’s definitely here. Do you think I would lie to you? Lie to make you happy for a few days and then hit you even harder?”

They had had similar conversations countless times. Wei Wuxian accompanied Jiang Cheng halfway up the mountain and said, “Alright, from here on, I can’t go up with you anymore.”

He took out a piece of cloth and blindfolded Jiang Cheng’s eyes, repeatedly cautioning him, “Absolutely, absolutely do not open your eyes. There are no ferocious beasts on the mountain. Even if you walk slowly or stumble, you must not remove the blindfold. Absolutely no curiosity. Remember, even if they bite you, say that you are Wei Wuxian. You know how to answer any questions, right?”

Given the stakes of whether they could rebuild the Golden Core and exact their blood-soaked revenge, Jiang Cheng naturally couldn’t afford to be careless. He nodded nervously.

Wei Wuxian turned around, and Jiang Cheng slowly walked up the mountain. Wei Wuxian said, “I’ll wait for you in the town we passed through earlier!”

After watching Jiang Cheng’s slow-moving figure for a while, Wei Wuxian turned and took a different path.

Jiang Cheng’s journey up the mountain lasted seven days.

The town where they agreed to meet was nestled among the mountains, quite remote and desolate. There were only a few people in the town, and the streets were narrow and uneven, without even a single vendor’s stall.

Wei Wuxian squatted by the roadside, looking towards the direction of the mountain, but he still didn’t see Jiang Cheng’s figure. He stood up, supporting his knees, and felt a wave of dizziness. Shaking it off, he walked towards the only teahouse in town.

The teahouse was the only building in this small town that could be considered not shabby. As soon as he entered, a waiter greeted him with a smile and asked, “What would you like to drink?”

Wei Wuxian’s heart skipped a beat.

After days of exhaustion and neglect, he could almost be described as unkempt. Normally, if a teahouse waiter saw someone like him, they would immediately frown and chase him out. The warm welcome seemed a bit too fake.

Quickly scanning the interior of the shop, Wei Wuxian noticed the accountant standing behind the counter, burying his head in the account book. There were seven or eight people sparsely seated at ten tables, many of them wearing cloaks and drinking tea while keeping their heads down, as if trying to conceal something.

Wei Wuxian quickly made up his mind and turned to leave. But just as he took a step outside the teahouse, a dark and tall figure rushed towards him and struck him with a thunderous blow to the chest.

Wei Wuxian crashed into two tables, and the waiters and the accountant hurriedly fled. The seven or eight people in the shop pulled back their cloaks, revealing the flame-patterned robes they wore underneath. Wen Chao stepped across the threshold and stood in front of Wei Wuxian, looking at him struggling to stand up, then glanced at his own palm, lost in thought. Someone kicked Wei Wuxian’s knees, forcing him to kneel heavily on the ground. Wen Chao’s face appeared in his line of sight, full of cruel excitement. “So, you’re groveling now?! You, brat, were quite agile when slaughtering the Xuanwu Cave, weren’t you? Can’t handle a single blow now, huh? Hahaha! Keep jumping, I want to see you go wild!”

Wang Lingjiao’s impatient voice rang out, “Quick! Young Master Wen, cut off his hand quickly! He still owes us an arm!”

Wen Chao said, “No, no, not so fast. I’ve finally found this brat. There would be too much bloodshed if I cut off his hand, and it wouldn’t be as enjoyable if he dies right away. Let’s melt his Golden Core first. I want to hear him scream like Jiang Cheng did last time!”

Wang Lingjiao said, “Then melt the Golden Core first, and then cut off his hand!”

They were discussing happily, but Wei Wuxian suddenly spat out blood and said, “Fine! Whatever torture you have, bring it on!”

Wang Lingjiao laughed, “You asked for it!”

Wen Chao sneered, “Even at the brink of death, you’re still trying to act like a hero!”

Wei Wuxian sneered, “It’s precisely because I’m at the brink of death that I’m happy! I was afraid that I wouldn’t die. If you have the guts, torture me to death! The more cruel, the better. After I die, I will definitely turn into a malevolent ghost, haunting every corner of the Wen Clan in Qishan, cursing all of you!”

Upon hearing this, Wen Chao hesitated for a moment. After all, it was highly unlikely for disciples of prestigious families, like Jiang Fanmian or Yu Ziyuan, who were influenced by their family rituals and artifacts since birth, to become malevolent ghosts after death. However, Wei Wuxian was different. He was the son of a servant, and he didn’t grow up in the Jiang family from an early age, so he didn’t have many opportunities to undergo the soul-soothing and soul-guiding rituals. If he were to truly become an vengeful ghost, relentlessly haunting and difficult to deal with, it would be quite troublesome. Moreover, the more torture and cruelty he endured in life, the more fragmented and brutal, the more ferocious and difficult to handle the vengeful ghost would become after his death.

Seeing this, Wang Lingjiao hurriedly said, “Young Master Wen, don’t listen to his nonsense. Not everyone can become a vengeful ghost after death. It requires a combination of favorable circumstances. Even if he does become one, can’t the Wen Clan of Qishan deal with a solitary wandering ghost? We’ve been catching people all over the place for so long just to punish him. Are we going to let him off because of a few empty boasts?”

Wen Chao said, “Of course not possible!”

Wei Wuxian, knowing he was facing certain death, became increasingly calm. His deep-seated hatred solidified into an icy determination. Wen Chao, seeing his expression, felt displeased and somewhat terrified. He kicked him in the abdomen and said, “You’re still pretending! Who are you trying to scare? What kind of hero do you think you are?”

A group of disciples followed suit, viciously beating him. After they felt satisfied with the beating, Wen Chao shouted, “Enough!”

Wei Wuxian spat out blood and firmly thought to himself, “Is it time to strike? Death is just the same as being alive. I still have a 30% chance of becoming a vengeful ghost for revenge!”

With this thought, an unparalleled excitement surged within him.

Wen Chao, however, said, “Wei Ying, do you always think you’re fearless and brave, so courageous and great?”

Wei Wuxian was surprised and said, “Oh, Wen Dog can actually speak human language?”

Wen Chao threw a punch and sneered, “Keep pretending, go ahead and show off your eloquence. I want to see how long you can act like a hero!”

He ordered his men to grab Wei Wuxian, while Wen Zhuliu walked over and lifted him up from the ground. Wei Wuxian struggled to raise his head and stared at the person who had killed Jiang Fanmian, Lady Yu, and destroyed Jiang Cheng’s Golden Core, imprinting his face and indifferent expression firmly in his mind.

Accompanied by the members of the Wen family, they ascended into the air on their swords, gradually leaving the town and the deep mountains behind. Wei Wuxian thought to himself, “Even if Jiang Cheng comes down, he won’t be able to find me… Why are they taking me up so high just to throw me down and kill me?”

After flying for a while on their swords, the pure white clouds suddenly parted to reveal a black, ominous mountain.

This mountain exuded a heavy aura of death, like a colossal ancient corpse. Even from a distance, it sent shivers down one’s spine.

Wen Chao halted above this mountain. He said, “Wei Ying, do you know what this place is?”

He chuckled, “This place is called the Burial Mound.”

Upon hearing this name, a chill crawled up Wei Wuxian’s spine.

Wen Chao continued, “This Burial Mound is located in Yiling. You must have heard of its name over in Yunmeng. It’s a mountain of corpses, an ancient battlefield. Dig anywhere on the mountain, and you’ll find a corpse. Even the nameless corpses are just rolled up in a mat and thrown here.”

The sword formation slowly descended, nearing the black peak. Wen Chao said, “Look at this dark aura, tsk tsk, such heavy resentment, such thick grudges. Even our Wen family can’t do anything about it, so we can only surround and prohibit entry. And that’s during the day. At night, there really are all sorts of things inside. Once a living person enters here, body and soul, they never come out again, forever trapped.”

He grabbed Wei Wuxian by the hair and, with a sinister smile, uttered each word, “And you, will never come out either!”

With that, he tossed Wei Wuxian down.

“Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah
